Linen is made from the fibers of the flax plant. Linen is the worlds oldest textile, dating back to 8000 B.C. The Linen textile is both hypo-allergenic and is one of the most environmentally friendly fibers.
The history of Linen production goes back thousands of years. The word “Linen” is used to describe woven and knitted Table Cloths, Bed Sheets, Window Treatments, Upholstery, Luggage, and Clothing. The more times Linen is washed or worn the more beautiful it becomes.
In the past, the Linen industry was most largely developed in Russia, Austria, Holland, and Ireland, however today Linen is sold around the world.
